BIO-COMPOSITE
Coffee Bio-composite made entirely from a combination of recycled and waste material.
Our sustainable sourcing of feedstock is a prerequisite for more sustainable products. By not using carbohydrate-rich plants, such as corn or sugar cane, so called food crops or first generation feedstock, our material can avoid creating negative impacts like deforestation of protected areas and environmental damage caused by bad agricultural practices. The same applies to social criteria and human rights.

Solution
After collecting recycled cases of Paula’s Choice products through collection programs, the impurities are treated and sorted, followed by application research. These cases are then combined with coffee grounds to produce practical and useful products, promoting sustainable practices and reducing waste in the environment.

Uniqlo emphasizes sustainability, with initiatives such as using recycled materials in their products and reducing waste in their production processes.
Challenges
Uniqlo aims to organize a customer appreciation week program featuring a gift of gratitude to customers that aligns with the brand’s eco-friendly values and low carbon footprint.
Solution
Veritas and Uniqlo have come to an agreement to produce eco-friendly cups as a customer appreciation gift during a week-long program.
After conducting research, Veritas has determined that using PP plastic is the best option for producing durable and lightweight cups. Moreover, to optimize sustainability and reduce the carbon footprint, Veritas recommends using recycled PP made from collected plastic bottles combined with coffee grounds.
